What happens to credits you did not spend
Seven channels in this register answer this on the page that carries the price, and they answer it four different ways: expires on a clock, resets every cycle, rolls over for a stated window, or goes into a balance. Two list the question without answering it. Seventeen say nothing. As of 2026-09-22.

| Hedra | Question without an answer | The pricing FAQ raises rollover; no answer appears in the page text | pricing page |
| HeyGen | Rolls over by billing cycle | Monthly credits survive one more month; annual credits accumulate to the renewal date and stop at cancellation | pricing page |
| invideo AI | Does not roll over | Unused credits do not roll over to the next month | pricing page |
| Kling AI | Expires on a clock | 180-day validity on the developer packages, no rollover and no extension | developer prices |
| Magnific | Valid for a year | Credit rollover with no monthly resets, and credits valid for 1 year | pricing page |
| Morph Studio | Question without an answer | The FAQ lists the question; no answer appears in the page text | pricing page |
| Pika | Rollover as a feature line | Every paid plan carries the line purchase more roll over video credits | pricing page |
| Runway | Answered per plan | Standard and Pro reset within 24 hours of the billing date; Max rolls over up to one month; purchased credits never expire | plans page |
| SceneMixer | Goes into the balance | Monthly membership credits are added to the balance and spend like purchased credits | price list |
Inclusion rule. Channels whose own priced page addresses unspent credits. A channel that sells credits without addressing what happens to them is listed below the table rather than given a row, because an empty row would read as a policy. Order. Alphabetical by channel name.
1Four different shapes, not four different numbers
A rate per second is comparable across vendors because it is the same kind of thing everywhere. What happens to an unspent credit is not: one channel puts a clock on the whole package, one resets the monthly allowance and leaves purchased credits alone, one sells rollover as a feature of the tier, and one treats the monthly grant as indistinguishable from a purchase. Those are four different products wearing the same word.
The practical consequence is that a per-credit price cannot be compared without knowing the shape. A cheaper credit that expires in 180 days is dearer than a costlier one that does not, for anybody whose production runs longer than 180 days — which is most of a season.
2Where the silence sits
Seventeen channels here sell or meter credits and publish nothing about what happens to the ones you do not spend: CapCut, Dreamina, fal, LTX Studio, Luma, MiniMax, Novita AI, PixVerse, Replicate, Runware, Segmind, Sora, Synthesia, Veo, Vidu, Wan, WaveSpeed AI. That is not an accusation of a hidden policy. On several of them the credits are metered per call against a prepaid balance and the question may genuinely not arise; on others it arises and is answered somewhere other than the priced page. Either way a buyer reading the price cannot see it.
This site records the priced page and does not merge in an answer from a different document, for the same reason the clip-limit column is mostly blank: an answer written for one plan or one endpoint can be wrong for the tier the price belongs to.
3The two rows that are about a question rather than an answer
Two pricing pages list the question in their own words and then do not answer it in the page text. That is worth a row of its own: it is evidence the vendor expects to be asked, which is a different state from never having raised it. It is recorded as the question being present and the answer being absent, not as a refusal.
The widest published window sits on the newest row. A year of validity with no monthly reset turns an allowance into something closer to a prepaid balance, and for a season shot over four months it is worth more than a cheaper credit that resets each cycle. The shortest published lives are a reset every cycle and a single extra month; the hundred and eighty days on a developer package sit between those and the year.

Each row names the page it was read from and carries the date it was read. Rates for these channels are on the ledger; how a credit rate becomes a per-second figure is on method.
