How many generations run at once on Vidu
Vidu is the one channel in this register that puts a price on throughput. Five concurrent sessions come free with an account and each additional session is listed at 416,000 credits a month, stated as about $2,080. As of 2026-09-22.
| What is published | As the API price page states it |
|---|---|
| Included with an account | Five concurrent sessions, free |
| Each further session | 416,000 credits a month, stated as about $2,080 a month |
| How it is sold | As a line item beside the generation rates |
| Generation rate it sits beside | Three and a half to seven and a half cents a second by resolution |
Inclusion rule. What the API price page states about running generations in parallel. A statement about a queue without a number is a different kind of answer and belongs to another entry. Order. What is included first, then what it costs to add.
1Where Vidu sits in this column
| Channel | Parallel generations |
|---|---|
| HeyGen | Twice as much on one tier, no figures |
| Kling AI | Twenty per package, unlimited on membership |
| SceneMixer | 3 free, then 5, 8, 10, 15 and 20 by tier |
| Vidu | Five free, then $2,080 a month each |
Inclusion rule. Channels whose public pages address how many generations may run at the same time. Silence on the subject is the norm and is recorded on the ledger rather than here. Order. Alphabetical by channel name.
2A priced concurrency line turns a schedule into a budget item
Everywhere else in this register, how fast a production can go is invisible: the rate prices a second of output and says nothing about how many seconds can be in flight. Here it is a purchasable quantity with a monthly figure, so a delivery date can be bought.
That also makes the cost of haste calculable. Two thousand and eighty dollars a month buys one more thing happening at a time, and against a rate of a few cents a second that figure dwarfs the generation cost for all but heavy users.
3The arithmetic says five sessions is a lot for most productions
Five things at once at roughly six cents a second is a large amount of throughput for a small team. The extra session only pays for itself where the queue, not the money, is the binding constraint, and that happens at industrial volumes rather than at ten episodes.
So the useful reading of this line is not that concurrency is expensive. It is that the free allocation is generous enough that most buyers never reach the priced part, and the priced part exists to tell the few who do what it will cost.
4Priced in credits, quoted in dollars, which fixes both halves
The figure is stated in credits and then restated in dollars on the same line. That is the same discipline the ledger asks of a rate: an internal currency figure is only usable when the page also says what the currency is worth.
It matters more here than on a generation rate, because a monthly concurrency charge is a commitment rather than a consumption. Getting the currency wrong on a rate costs a recalculation; getting it wrong on a subscription costs a year.
