How Veo and Flow rate on seven criteria
Veo / Flow (Google) rates 3.1 across the criteria that could be rated, peaks on both generation columns, a floor on script handling. Its strongest columns are picture quality and sound, and its weakest is script handling. Every number describes what the vendor publishes, read on 2026-09-12. As of 2026-09-12.
| Criterion | Rating | What the vendor publishes |
|---|---|---|
| Script handling | 1 of 5 | Nothing published |
| Cast consistency | 3 of 5 | Partly documented |
| Shot control | 3 of 5 | Partly documented |
| Picture quality | 5 of 5 | Documented |
| Sound | 5 of 5 | Documented |
| Assembly | 3 of 5 | Partly documented |
| Cost transparency | 2 of 5 | Partly documented |
Inclusion rule. The same seven criteria are applied to every tool rated here. A criterion the vendor does not address is left unrated rather than scored low. Order. Fixed criterion order, identical on every tool page.

2Two fives, and where they stop
Picture and sound both reach the top, and the published material behind them is unusually specific about models and capabilities. What is absent is everything about long-form material: no statement about what happens to a script, and a three on assembly.
That is a coherent product decision rather than an oversight, and the table records it as the shape it is.
3Cost transparency is the low column
Two here reflects a rate that is hard to read in public: access is bundled rather than priced per second, so the cost of a finished minute cannot be worked out before committing.
What counts as a published rate on this site is on the method page.
4Cells on this row with a page of their own
Values on this row held by at most two of the rated tools, each read against the column it sits in: Veo and Flow, sound, Veo and Flow, assembly. A value in the crowded middle of a column is left on the criterion page.
Ratings describe what Veo / Flow (Google) publishes on its own pages, read 2026-09-12. They are not measurements of output quality, and the vendor is not consulted before a rating appears. The rule behind each criterion is on how scoring works; all sixteen tools together are on the ratings table. Next: CapCut, Wan (Tongyi Wanxiang).
