What Novita AI meters on its price page
Novita AI prices one model family by the second, with audio as a separate step rather than a resolution tier, and prices two other families per clip at named durations. Both shapes sit in the same table. As of 2026-09-22.
| What is metered | As the page prints it |
|---|---|
| One family, standard tier | Eight and a half cents a second silent, twelve and a half with audio |
| One family, pro tier | Eleven cents a second silent, seventeen with audio |
| A second family | Nineteen cents for six seconds at 768P, rising to fifty-six for ten |
| A third family | Twenty-five cents for five seconds at 480P, rising to a dollar fifty for ten at 1080P |
| Longest single generation | Absent from the page carrying the rate |
Inclusion rule. Rows on the price page that show what the meter counts. Where a family is priced per clip, the named durations are given as published rather than divided into a rate. Order. Per-second rows first, then per-clip rows.
1Where Novita AI sits in this column
| Channel | What the page meters |
|---|---|
| fal | Seconds on most models, a whole clip on one |
| HeyGen | Credits, as one currency for everything |
| Magnific | Credits against named durations |
| Novita AI | Seconds on one family, whole clips on two |
| Replicate | Run time, with two models by the second |
| Segmind | GPU time, plus a price per run |
| Synthesia | Credits, converted into minutes |
Inclusion rule. Channels whose price page meters in something other than one second of delivered video. A channel printing money against a second is already comparable and belongs on the ledger instead. Order. Alphabetical by channel name.
2Audio as a price step rather than a tier is unusual here
Most channels step their price on pixels. This one steps it on whether speech and effects arrive with the picture, at roughly a fifty per cent premium on both tiers. For serial dialogue that is the more relevant axis: a drama needs voices in every shot and needs 1080p in none of them.
It also makes the silent figure the misleading one to quote. A production that will always want audio should read the higher number as its rate, and the page makes that possible by printing both rather than bundling.
3Per-clip pricing at named durations hides a per-second curve
Nineteen cents for six seconds is about three cents a second; fifty-six cents for ten is nearer six. The same model gets dearer per second as the clip gets longer, which is the opposite of what a buyer assumes from a rate card and is visible only because the page prints both ends.
Dividing those figures is arithmetic anyone can repeat, and this register does not do it in the ledger because the vendor did not. A derived rate that contradicts the shape of the vendor's own pricing is worse than no rate.
4A mixed meter is a symptom of who owns the models
The families on this page come from three different upstream sellers, and the unit follows the source rather than the shop. Where the source publishes seconds, the resale publishes seconds; where the source sells clips, so does the resale.
That is worth knowing before comparing two resellers. They will look different from each other largely because their catalogues overlap differently, not because either has chosen a pricing philosophy.

5What the seconds buy
Price aside, what goes into the seconds behind “What Novita meters” is described in SceneMixer's guides:
The longest an episode may run: 240 seconds for Short Drama, 300 for TV Series, none for Film.
