How Wan rates on seven criteria
Wan (Tongyi Wanxiang) rates 2.9 across the criteria that could be rated, solid generation columns, nothing published about assembly or script handling. Its top value, 4, is shared by 3 columns, and its weakest are script handling and assembly. Every number describes what the vendor publishes, read on 2026-09-12. As of 2026-09-12.
| Criterion | Rating | What the vendor publishes |
|---|---|---|
| Script handling | 1 of 5 | Nothing published |
| Cast consistency | 3 of 5 | Partly documented |
| Shot control | 3 of 5 | Partly documented |
| Picture quality | 4 of 5 | Documented |
| Sound | 4 of 5 | Documented |
| Assembly | 1 of 5 | Nothing published |
| Cost transparency | 4 of 5 | Documented |
Inclusion rule. The same seven criteria are applied to every tool rated here. A criterion the vendor does not address is left unrated rather than scored low. Order. Fixed criterion order, identical on every tool page.

2The documentation is about the model, not the pipeline
This entry is unusual because the material behind it is a model release rather than a product: weights, licences and hardware figures are published in detail, while the steps a production needs around generation are not addressed at all.
That is why generation columns sit at four and both workflow columns sit at one. The rubric is asking about a product; the published material describes a model.
3Where the surrounding work goes
Because the model is available openly, the assembly and script steps are usually supplied by whatever host or tool wraps it, and those hosts rate separately in this table. Reading this row alone understates what a production using the model actually gets.
Ratings describe what Wan (Tongyi Wanxiang) publishes on its own pages, read 2026-09-12. They are not measurements of output quality, and the vendor is not consulted before a rating appears. The rule behind each criterion is on how scoring works; all sixteen tools together are on the ratings table. Next: Sora (OpenAI), Kling AI.
