What fixing a finished clip costs, and where it is priced
Three channels here print a price for changing a clip that already exists instead of generating a new one. On all three a picture change costs more per second than generating that second fresh, and where a voice change is priced it costs a fraction of either. As of 2026-10-25.
| Channel | What a fix is priced at | Where it is printed |
|---|---|---|
| PixVerse | Modify at 8, 10 or 12 credits a second by resolution; lip sync at 4; added sound at 2 | The platform price page |
| Runway | A video-to-video model at 28 credits a second, 56 credits at least | The API price documentation |
| SceneMixer | Trim at 5 credits; a picture change at twice the tier rate; lip sync at 1 credit a second | A help guide, and on the button before it is pressed |
Inclusion rule. Channels whose public pages price an operation on a clip that already exists, as distinct from generating a new one. A channel that prices only fresh generation is not given a row. Order. Alphabetical by channel.
1A picture edit is priced above the second it replaces
Set each edit beside the same channel's own generation rate and the pattern is the same three times. PixVerse charges 12 credits a second to modify at 720p against 9 to generate at 720p. Runway's video-to-video model runs at 28 credits a second against 12 for its own generation model. SceneMixer states the ratio outright: a picture change costs twice the per-second price of the tier the clip was made on.
So a fix is never a discount on a retake. What it buys is everything else in the clip staying as it was: the performance, the framing, the timing an editor has already cut to. A retake re-rolls all of that for less money; a fix keeps it for more.
2Voice work is the cheap end of every list
Where a channel prices a sound-only change, the figure collapses. Lip sync is 4 credits a second on PixVerse against 9 to generate, and 1 credit a second on SceneMixer against 10 on its default tier. Added sound effects on PixVerse are 2 credits a second.
That spread is the practical guidance hiding in the price pages. A clip that is right except for a line reading is cheap to rescue; a clip that is right except for a face is nearly as expensive to rescue as to throw away, and sometimes more.
3Minimums decide what a short fix costs
Runway sets a floor of 56 credits per call on its video-to-video model, which is two seconds at its rate: a one-second correction is billed as two. SceneMixer also bills a picture change for at least two seconds, and on clips longer than fifteen seconds edits one half and charges only that half. Its trim is a flat 5 credits regardless of length.
For the small corrections that make up most of a review pass, those floors and flat fees matter more than the per-second figure. A dozen one-second fixes cost twenty-four seconds on a two-second floor.
4What happens when the fix itself fails
Only one of the three pages says. SceneMixer holds the price when the button is pressed and returns it if the fix does not go through, including when content review blocks the edit. The other two price pages describe what a successful edit costs and are silent on an unsuccessful one.
For edits that touch faces, bodies or violence, which are the edits most likely to meet a filter, that silence is the larger unknown on the page.
